Barb’s Ball of Wax
At the age of twelve, during my first art class, I comprehended the pleasure I derived from making art. Soon I was spending hours painting by number. My intense interest grew into an immersion in the study of old masters via museum visits, reading biographies about artists and trying every technique based on books describing painting techniques. As an adult I have had the good fortune to study with several renowned painters and teachers.
My desire is to be considered a painter. I enjoy every moment of this journey. For me there is no longer an end point in mind. I simply row my own boat, navigating the best I can, attempting, correcting, and then starting out again after the completion of each more or less successful realization.
